🚨 Police Raid in Larnaca Ends with Two People Jumping from Window

A police search of a flat in Larnaca turned dramatic when two people allegedly jumped from a second-floor window as officers moved in. Both were hospitalised with injuries, while three people were arrested after police said they uncovered suspected cannabis, pills, cash, and multiple phones inside the apartment.

It wasn’t just another routine search. Scenes like this are rare in Larnaca — and the scale of what police say they found suggests the flat may have been linked to something far bigger than a simple possession case.

🌅 Larnaca’s Lighthouse Is Opening to the Public

The historic Pervolia Lighthouse at Cape Kiti is opening its grounds to the public on May 9 for a cultural walk and outdoor exhibition exploring its past, coastline, and future transformation. Visitors will be able to join guided tours in English and Greek while exploring one of the district’s most overlooked landmarks.

Built in 1864 and closed in 1982, the lighthouse is now being reimagined as a centre for research, education, and marine awareness. In other words: something many locals have only ever driven past could soon become one of the area’s most interesting cultural spots.

🚗 Classic Car Festival

Larnaca’s seafront is getting a serious dose of nostalgia next Sunday, as the Classic Car Festival takes over Europe Square (the fountain area at Finikoudes) from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Expect vintage motors, polished classics, live music, and plenty of people stopping for “just one quick look” that turns into an hour.
